We are now seeking an enthusiastic and open-minded Reservation Manager to join our friendly and professional team.
Role Overview
The Reservation Manager plays a pivotal role in overseeing the reservations process and supporting the Revenue Team. You will supervise and develop the Reservations Agent, ensuring the highest standards of accuracy, service, and guest satisfaction. You will also assist in managing group bookings, rates, and strategies, ensuring the hotel maximises occupancy and revenue potential.
Key Responsibilities
Reservations & Revenue Management
* Support and supervise the Reservations Agent, including training and performance development.
* Handle all reservation enquiries and bookings in line with standard operating procedures.
* Respond to and quote for group, meeting, and event enquiries, liaising with the Director of Revenue and Director of Sales to optimise business potential.
* Manage group block space from initial quote to final billing, ensuring accuracy and timely updates.
* Maintain detailed knowledge of Envision, Reserve, IDeaS, and Opera systems.
* Conduct monthly audits of incoming groups and event options to ensure accurate inventory management.
* Input and manage Group/Block Reservations in line with departmental standards.
* Deputise for the Director of Revenue when required, including rate checks, strategy updates, and reporting.
* Update rates and load corporate rates in relevant systems when necessary.
Guest Service & Quality
* Ensure all guests receive exceptional service that exceeds expectations.
* Anticipate and act on guest needs, particularly for VIPs and World of Hyatt elite members.
* Promote and upsell hotel facilities, maximising both guest satisfaction and revenue.
* Maintain an exceptional understanding of World of Hyatt and its reward scheme.

* Demonstrate punctuality, professionalism, and attention to detail.
* Contribute to achieving or exceeding departmental revenue targets.
* Maintain high standards of guest satisfaction and encourage repeat business.
* Display a consistently positive and proactive attitude.

* You have proven experience in hotel reservations, ideally within a luxury or upper-upscale environment.
* You're detail-oriented, with strong communication and organisational skills.
* You thrive in a dynamic environment and take pride in delivering exceptional guest experiences.
* You're confident using systems such as Opera, Envision, and IDeaS.
