Business Development Manager Field-Based ¦ Full-Time ¦ Sales We’re seeking a driven and commercially astute Business Development Manager to join our sales team. This is a field-based role focused on growing revenue through strategic account management and new business development, while strengthening brand presence across your region. You’ll play a key part in delivering regional sales objectives by building strong, long-term customer relationships and working collaboratively with internal teams. The Role As a Business Development Manager, you will: Plan and prioritise sales activity to meet agreed commercial targets Identify and engage key decision-makers, quickly building credible and influential relationships Maintain, grow, and protect existing accounts while generating new business opportunities Deliver tailored value propositions through ethical and consultative selling Use CRM and contact-management tools consistently to maintain accurate, actionable data Support and deliver local marketing initiatives including launches, promotions, exhibitions, and campaigns Respond promptly to sales enquiries using effective communication methods Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer insights, sharing intelligence with the wider business Communicate, negotiate, and present confidently with customers and internal stakeholders Attend customer meetings, industry events, and internal forums Continuously develop product knowledge, sales capability, and professional skills Provide expert guidance and technical advice to customers, specifiers, and partners What We’re Looking For Essential Proven sales success in a field-based role Specification and commercial sales experience Experience of selling a wide product range in a complex, demanding environment Strong commercial awareness Competent IT skills, including Microsoft Office and CRM systems Desirable Formal sales training Knowledge of plumbing systems and procedures Experience selling into sectors such as public sector, private sector, architects, retirement and care, retail, or special needs environments Key Skills Strong listening and communication skills Advanced problem-solving ability A positive, resilient, and proactive mindset Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills Confident relationship builder with strong influencing skills Why Join Us?
