Wessex Lodge are located in Whitechurch in the borough of Basingstoke and Deane in Hampshire, England. It is on the River Test, not far from Newbury, or Berkshire. Much of the town is a Conservation Area.Because of the amount of wildlife in and near the River Test, its course and banks are designated as Site of Special Scientific Interest. Whitchurch is the Gateway to the North Wessex Downs Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Wessex Lodge offers Nursing, Residential and Dementia care for 40 people.It extends over three floors, with each of the bedrooms providing en-suite facilities, whilst some of the ground floor rooms have access via patio doors onto the substantial gardens. Requirements Duties will include but not limited to: Prepare, cook and serve hot and cold meals, providing for special dietary requirements and taking into account the preferences and cultures of residents. Liaise with the Head Chef to plan menus. Maintain accurate records of food supplies and freezer/fridge temperatures. Ensure stock rotation. Order stock and check deliveries against all delivery notes and in line with the Food Safety System in place. Supervise and instruct Kitchen colleagues in the use of all equipment and hygiene procedures. Ensure statutory Health & Safety standards are followed in the kitchen and dining areas.
