Job Title: Level 3 Teaching Assistant – SEND Start Date: September 2025 Location: Golborne, Warrington Pay Rate: £89.44 – £130 per day Contract Type: Full-time, Temporary (with the possibility of a permanent role) A friendly and inclusive primary school in the heart of Golborne, Warrington is seeking to appoint a skilled and compassionate Level 3 Teaching Assistant to support children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) across the school from September 2025. Key Responsibilities: Provide tailored support for pupils with SEND on a one-to-one and small group basis. Assist in the delivery of personalised learning plans and interventions. Support children in developing key skills, confidence, and independence. Foster a safe, inclusive, and encouraging learning environment. Work closely with class teachers, the SENCO, and external agencies to meet individual pupil needs. Contribute to planning, assessment, and progress tracking for children with SEND. Build positive relationships with parents and carers to support pupil development. Essential Criteria: Level 3 qualification in a relevant area (e.g., Supporting Teaching and Learning, Childcare, or equivalent). Experience working with children with SEND in a primary school setting. Strong understanding of inclusive practices and differentiated learning. Calm, patient, and empathetic approach. Effective communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team. Enhanced Child Workforce DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply). Desirable: Experience supporting children with speech, language, and communication needs, ASD, or social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs.
