Residential Support Worker
Location: Widnes
Contract: Full Time | Role Type: Permanent | Working hours per week: 40
Pay: £13.19-£13.81 per hour plus £30 per sleep in. Closing date: Friday 29 May 2026.
CareTech Community Services, established in 1993, is a national provider offering care for people with complex behaviours associated with autism, learning disabilities, mental health illness and neurological conditions. We support people to live independently and in residential care homes, delivering first‑class care. All applicants are subject to satisfactory references and a DBS check.
What You’ll Do
* Support young people with their daily routines, including getting ready for school, preparing for meal times and planning activities.
* Help create a warm, homely environment by assisting with light housekeeping.
* Build strong, meaningful relationships and provide emotional support.
* Plan and join fun activities such as trips to the park, popcorn & movie nights or creative projects.
* Keep essential records to ensure the best possible care.

We are a dual occupancy home within the Cambian Group, committed to providing high‑quality person‑centered care. The staff team guides and supports young people in developing the skills required to live safely, confidently and independently. Emphasis is placed on personal safety, social inclusion and respect for others, while encouraging positive lifestyles.
Our current residents vary in individual needs and are engaged with staff and activities in the home and in the community. One resident enjoys ice skating competitions and park runs, while another is new to the home and loves chatting with staff.
