Job Opportunity: Senior Clinical Pharmacist in ADHD (Fixed Term/Secondment)
NHS Fife Pharmacy and Medicines Directorate is offering a fixed-term or secondment opportunity for a Senior Clinical Pharmacist specializing in ADHD.
Role Overview
1. Manage a caseload of patients (children, adolescents, and adults) with ADHD.
2. Work as an independent prescriber to support and advise patients, carers, and families.
3. Lead the development of pharmacy services related to ADHD.
4. Provide specialist pharmacy advice to ensure safe and effective medication use, collaborating closely with the multidisciplinary team.
5. Work across primary care and community pharmacies to deliver seamless, patient-centered care.
Qualifications and Support
* Essential: Independent prescribing qualification.
* Desirable: Post-graduate qualification in clinical pharmacy or equivalent experience.
* Support from lead pharmacists and participation in peer-support networks for independent prescribers and specialist-interest pharmacists.
Location and Travel
Based at Queen Margaret Hospital, Dunfermline, with willingness to travel across Fife as needed.
Leadership and Team Environment
Provide clinical leadership to Foundation and specialist mental health pharmacists and pharmacy technicians.
