The Great Yorkshire Show welcomes over 140,000 visitors each year, and we're looking for enthusiastic, reliable, and friendly individuals to join our temporary workforce for 2026.
About The Role
Our team works across the Showground in a wide variety of roles, including:
Blue Gate & Green Gate Attendants
Programme Sellers
Litter Pickers
Toilets & Showers Team
And many more vital customer focused operational roles
Every role plays an important part in delivering an exceptional experience for our visitors. If you enjoy working outdoors, being part of a team, and providing excellent customer service, we'd love to hear from you.
Who We're Looking For
Previous Great Yorkshire Show Workers:
If you've worked at the Show before, tell us what role you held (e.g., Blue Gate, Programme Seller, Litter Picker, etc.). We'd love to welcome you back
New Applicants:
If you haven't worked with us before, please share any relevant experience. This could include:
Customer service or retail work
Hospitality or event experience
Volunteering
Working with animals
Agriculture or farming experience
Great customer service skills are essential - our temporary workers are key to ensuring every visitor has a fantastic day.
Recruitment Timeline
Recruitment opens: Early April 2026
Selection process completed by: Early June 2026
You must available for the duration of the show July
Litter Pickers must also be available on the 18 & 22 July
