An incredible new job opportunity has arisen for a committed Consultant Psychologist to work in an exceptional hospital based in the Leeds, West Yorkshire area. You will be working for one of UK's leading healthcare providers. The hospital is a locked rehabilitation recovery service for patients requiring an integrated treatment approach, focusing on active rehabilitation in order to progress into future community placements. To be considered for this position you must be qualified as a Psychologist with a HCPC Registration.
Responsibilities
* Receives and responds promptly to referrals, undertaking assessments to determine and plan an effective therapy programme for assigned clients using appropriate and relevant treatments, activities and interventions.
* Facilitates individual and group therapy sessions within the given field of therapy, ensuring activities and interventions meet the needs of the client and align with the client’s therapy plan.
* Manages an assigned caseload within agreed timescales, ensuring regular interaction and communication with clients, professional colleagues and clinical staff.
* Maintains accurate and up-to-date records in the form of case notes, case files, clinical reports, computerised information systems and other documentation, presenting and sharing relevant information and knowledge concerning assigned clients with professional and clinical colleagues at regular MDT meetings.
* Leads and coordinates professional and clinical colleagues, providing psychotherapeutic advice and guidance, and assists with the analysis of statistical data and information for research and audit purposes.
Qualifications and experience
* Qualified Psychologist with HCPC Registration.
* Experience working with complex clients and at a strategic level (preferred).
* Experience in delivering highly specialist interventions for complex service users (preferred).
* Training in Clinical Supervision (preferred).
* A solid grasp of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and at least two other therapeutic modalities.
* Leadership and management experience (preferred).
