We are opening a brand-new solo children's home in Basildon, supporting a young person aged 8-18 with Social, Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (SEBD). This is the first of several homes planned under one registration, offering a unique opportunity for an experienced Registered Manager to shape the future of an expanding network across Essex. The Role As the Registered Manager, you will lead the home with passion, integrity, and a focus on the young person's emotional wellbeing. You will: Oversee the day-to-day running of the solo home in line with Children's Homes Regulations and Ofsted requirements Lead on care planning, safeguarding, staffing, quality assurance, and home development Ensure consistent, trauma-informed care that responds to the young person's individual needs Build a positive and supportive team culture coaching, mentoring, and developing staff Manage rota planning, budgets, audits, and resources Represent the home in multi-agency meetings, inspections, and professional networks About You We are looking for an experienced, confident leader who is ready to build something special. You must have: 2 years of experience in residential childcare At least 1 year as a Registered Manager or Deputy Manager Strong leadership, auditing, and budgeting skills Excellent knowledge of Reg 44/45 and SCCIF Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare (or working towards) Full UK Driving Licence Exceptional communication, organisation, and team-building abilities If you're ready to lead a solo provision and create a safe, nurturing environment where a young person can truly thrive, apply today!
