Overview
Consultant Psychiatrist – older adult mental health – full‑time position based in Weymouth, Dorset. Focus on community services and multi‑disciplinary management of referrals for older adults with both functional and organic illness.
Responsibilities
* Multi‑disciplinary management of community referrals for older adults with functional and organic illness.
* Provide consultant input into the OPMH multidisciplinary team in Weymouth and Portland.
* Assist in strategic development within the care group across Dorset, contributing to the leadership structure and meeting input.
* Participate in county‑wide consultant on‑call rota, with approximately 1 in 21 on‑call frequency, receiving a 3% on‑call supplement and 0.75 APA per week.
* Act as a member of the Medical Advisory Committee, meeting bi‑monthly to provide medical advice and support to management.
