The role of General Manager: This leading role will report to the CEOGroup Operations Director and see you managing the day-to-day operations of one of our restaurants, to include: ● Develop and execute strategic plans to elevate the overall performance of the restaurant, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and long-term success. ● Drive the highest possible profitability while enhancing standards to maintain both guest satisfaction and a positive employee morale. ● Conduct comprehensive interviewing, hiring, and performance evaluations, collaborating closely with the People & Culture Team to plan, assign tasks, provide direction, and recognize team achievements. ● Maintain optimal stock levels to meet the dynamic needs of the business, ensuring efficient operations and minimising waste. ● Take responsibility for ensuring compliance with all relevant Health & Safety and Food Safety legislation, fostering a secure environment for both guests and staff. ● Manage and monitor expenditure, working within set budgets to achieve financial objectives for each fiscal year. ● Challenge and contribute to the continuous improvement of employee welfare practices, fostering a positive and inclusive work environment. ● Cultivate positive relationships with civic, governmental, business, and community leaders to enhance the restaurants standing in the community. ● To review and reply to guests concerning their feedback through relevant channels. ● Stay abreast of industry trends, consistently considering innovative ways to evolve the operation and stay competitive. ● Monitor the performance of departmental heads, providing guidance and development opportunities to advance their career paths. ● Oversee daily and weekly operation briefings and leadership meetings, ensuring effective communication and alignment of goals. ● Work closely with the Marketing team to promote the restaurant positively, generate new revenue streams, and maintain a strong brand presence. What we’re looking for in a General Manager: ● Previous experience working in a senior restaurant management role within a similar hospitality business. ● Outstanding leadership and strategic planning skills. ● A keen eye for detail and a commitment to providing our guests with exceptional standards of service. ● A strong financial acumen with experience in budgeting, financial analysis, profit & loss, cost control and payroll management. ● Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to cultivate positive and professional working relations with all departments. ● Able to inspire and lead a diverse team, promoting a sense of collaboration, support and professionalism. ● Capable of setting clear expectations, providing direction and able to think strategically to anticipate and address potential issues. ● An excellent product knowledge, as well as a good understanding of hospitality software and Microsoft Office. ● Trained and experienced in H&S, Food Safety, Risk Assessment and due diligence. ● Has the right to work in the UK.
