Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Head Housekeeper to lead our housekeeping team in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and hospitality within our establishment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hotel operations, coupled with excellent leadership skills to ensure that all guest areas are impeccably presented. This role is vital in creating a welcoming environment for our guests and ensuring their comfort during their stay.
Duties
* Oversee daily housekeeping operations, ensuring all areas are cleaned to the highest standards.
* Manage and train housekeeping staff, providing guidance on best practices and ensuring adherence to health and safety regulations.
* Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house facilities to maintain quality control.
* Develop and implement cleaning schedules and procedures to optimise efficiency.
* Handle inventory management for cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring adequate stock levels are maintained.
* Collaborate with other departments to coordinate special requests or events that require additional housekeeping support.
* Address guest inquiries or complaints promptly and professionally, ensuring satisfaction with housekeeping services.
Experience
* Previous hotel experience is essential, ideally in a supervisory or managerial role within housekeeping.
* A background in hospitality is highly desirable, demonstrating an understanding of guest expectations and service excellence.
* Janitorial experience is beneficial, showcasing familiarity with cleaning techniques and equipment.
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact positively with staff and guests alike.
