Main duties of the job The post holder will be working within a community older adult crisis mental health service, providing specialist dementia assessment and treatment to service users with a range of health conditions.
In this role you will assess, implement and develop an OT treatment programme according to the person's diagnosis and identified needs.
You will be able to manage a diverse caseload and work closely with the multi-disciplinary team, giving you the opportunity to work with CPNs, Inpatient Wards, Psychiatrists, Psychologists, Physiotherapists and other disciplines within the team.
You will be involved in service development and quality improvement projects as we develop OT pathways across the organisation, build links with our partnership organisations in the community.
You will be part of the wider Occupational Therapy Community in Derbyshire Healthcare, contributing to CPD events, practice development opportunities and workforce development.
You will be involved in the development of our support staff.

Person Specification Experience/Skills Relevant post-registration, clinical expertise
Post-registration expertise in an adult mental health setting
Knowledge and experience of clinical supervision
Experience of ordering equipment and adapting environments
Knowledge of research techniques and experience of clinical audit
Post-registration expertise working with Older Adults

BSc Honours in Occupational Therapy or equivalent
