Job Description
We are recruiting for a Retail Sales Associate on behalf of a company that specialise in made to measure curtains, blinds and shutters for both the domestic and commercial customers.
On offer is a 16 hour working week which will be split over three days (Monday & Friday 10am to 4pm and Saturday 10am to 2pm) will pay £11,450.40 per year, comes with 18 days holiday, full initial and ongoing product and sales approach training.
As the Retail Sales Associate you will be part of the team delivering a friendly, professional and attentive customer experience from initial enquiry through to final installation as well as related admin duties.
This will include:
* The point of contact for customers, suppliers and deliveries.
* Gaining an understanding of what customers are looking for in terms of product, design, aesthetic etc.,
* Providing advice and product recommendations based on needs.
* Demonstrating (with training) a good understanding of window coverings, their suitability, constraints and practicalities.
* Gaining an excellent working knowledge of all existing suppliers including their full product range and fabric collections and other potential suppliers within the sector.
* Booking and managing the measuring and installation appointments.
* Liaising with colleagues to ensure an efficient and seamless service.
Requirements
To be considered, you will need to demonstrate:
* Previous customer service / retail experience in a fast paced and detail orientated business.
* Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to build a rapport with customers.
* Excellent administration, organisational, problem solving and prioritising skills.
* A good understanding of both metric and imperial measurements with the ability to work with both.
* That you are happy to assist with blind manufacturing as required.
