Job Role: LCV Technician / Mechanic / Fitter
Location: Weston-Super-Mare
Pay: £37,659
Hours: M-F 6am-3.30pm & 8.30am-6pm
Contract: Full time permanent role
LCV Technician / Mechanic / Fitter Duties
* Carrying out servicing, maintenance and repairs on a mixed fleet of circa 300 vehicles to include cars and vans and some plant equipment to DVSA and manufacturer standards
* Completing vehicle inspections, MOT preparation and accurately updating service and compliance documentation
* Promoting safe working practices and ensuring all tools, equipment and vehicles are maintained to the highest standards
* Providing technical support within the workshop and mentoring apprentices to support skills development
* Keeping workshop records accurate, maintaining a clean and organised working environment, and building positive working relationships with internal and external customers
LCV Technician / Mechanic / Fitter Experience Required
* Apprenticeship trained HGV Technician with City & Guilds Parts 1 & 2 (or equivalent qualification)
* LGV Class C / HGV Class 2 licence desirable but not essential
* Confident working independently in a physically demanding, safety-critical environment
* Proven experience servicing, maintaining, repairing and diagnosing faults on commercial vehicles
* Strong knowledge of vehicle, body electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, ideally within the waste management or heavy vehicle sector
