Stores Operative (Temporary – Site Based)
Reporting to: Stores Manager
Location: Site Based
Pay Rate: £12.71 per hour
About the Role
We are currently seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Stores Operative to join our Client on a temporary to Permanant. This is a front-facing role where you will be responsible for maintaining high standards within the stores environment and ensuring product availability for the client.
You will play a key role in supporting daily operations by managing stock efficiently, delivering excellent customer service, and ensuring all processes are completed accurately and on time.
Available Shifts (3 positions available)
Morning Shift: Monday to Friday, 06:00 – 14:30
Day Shift: Monday to Friday, 08:00 – 16:30
Afternoon Shift: Monday to Friday, 13:30 – 22:00
Key Responsibilities
Deliver exceptional customer service and maintain a professional relationship with the client
Issue stock products accurately and efficiently
Source and provide supplier catalogues and product information
Expedite outstanding purchase orders when required
Accurately book in goods received using the stock control system
Manage and release back orders for delivery
Confirm customer deliveries in a timely manner
Ensure all documentation is completed correctly and authorised where required
Complete stock deliveries within one working day
Carry out regular stock checks and maintain accurate stock records
Record stock locations and adjustments as necessary
Maintain high housekeeping standards within the stores environment
Attend site meetings and follow up on any actions required
Support additional duties as required in line with the role
Candidate Requirements (Mandatory)
Excellent communication skills in English (both spoken and written)
Previous experience working in a manufacturing production-based stores role or working closely with engineers
Strong focus on delivering excellent customer experience
Ability to work effectively within a team
Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
Strong problem-solving skills
High attention to detail and accuracy
Good IT skills (SAP experience desirable but not essential)
Strong organisational skills
