As a Licensed Mental Health Therapist, you’ll work with children and adolescents (ages 6-17) in our acute care setting, providing hope and healing to those who need it most. Required Qualifications
* Master’s degree (MA/MS) in psychology, counseling, social work, or related field
* Active Alabama licensure (LCSW, LMSW, LPC, or LMFT preferred)
* Minimum one year experience in inpatient psychiatric setting
* Dedication to working with children and adolescents
* Strong crisis intervention skills
Your Role in Transforming Lives
Therapeutic Leadership
* Design and implement individualized treatment plans
* Lead group therapy sessions that foster growth and healing
* Provide weekly individual and family therapy
* Create lasting positive change through evidence-based interventions
Family Support
* Guide families through their child’s treatment journey
* Facilitate family therapy sessions
* Provide tools and strategies for long-term success
* Help build stronger family connections
* Support parents in understanding their child’s needs
Crisis Management and Support
* Respond to client emergencies with expertise and composure
* Provide crisis intervention when needed
* Support clients through challenging moments
* Maintain calm and therapeutic environment
* Ensure safety and well-being of all clients
Treatment Planning and Documentation
* Monitor and document client progress
* Maintain accurate and timely records
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary team
Schedule
* Full-time, Monday – Friday
* One weekend rotation every fourth week
