Overview
An exciting opportunity to work as Clinical Nurse Specialist (Band 7) in North Bristol NHS Trust’s Breast Care CNS team across Southmead Hospital and Weston General Hospital.
The role delivers specialist nursing care and support throughout the cancer pathway, in partnership with the multidisciplinary team and across the regional network.
Responsibilities
* Provide highly specialist nursing care to a patient caseload, ensuring personalized care and coordinating access to services.
* Act as an autonomous practitioner, independently planning, implementing, and evaluating programmes of care.
* Deliver complex, sensitive information to patients and relatives, including diagnosis discussions and MDT clinical management.
* Offer specialist advice to manage complex symptoms within the area of expertise.
* Demonstrate advanced communication skills to guide and support patients, carers, and families.
Qualifications
* Registered General Nurse with current NMC registration.
* Degree level qualification in a relevant subject.
* Evidence of Masters level study in relevant subjects or willingness to work towards.
* Relevant significant post registration experience in cancer nursing or breast care.
* Evidence of formal ongoing professional development (certificates or application form).
Pay and Contract
* Band 7
* Salary £47,810 to £54,710 per annum (pro rata for part time)
* Permanent contract
* Part‑time working pattern
