A well-established civil engineering contractor operating across Scotland is seeking an experienced Commercial Manager to lead its commercial function and support continued business growth.
This is a senior role requiring a strong Quantity Surveying background and proven experience delivering civil engineering and infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and manage the commercial function across multiple civil engineering projects
* Take responsibility for cost control, valuations, forecasting, and final accounts
* Manage commercial risk and ensure contractual compliance
* Support project teams with commercial strategy and decision-making
* Lead commercial negotiations with clients and supply chain partners
* Mentor and develop quantity surveying and commercial staff
Candidate Profile:
* Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline
* Strong QS bias with progression into commercial management
* Significant experience within civil engineering or infrastructure contracting
* Solid knowledge of standard forms of contract (e.g. NEC)
* Commercially astute, proactive, and confident operating at senior level
