They are on the lookout for a capable, driven Senior Drainage Engineer with a strong background in infrastructure design, who is willing to take on a variety of challenging projects alongside an already-established team of experts, based near the historical, green town of Aldershot. Benefits for the role of Senior Drainage Engineer include (but are not limited to): Competitive salary (increasing with length of service) Bonus schemes Company pension scheme Generous annual leave allowance Opportunities for flexible working, on a hybrid basis An inclusive working environment, with a focus on collaboration and support Continuing Professional Development (CPD) and extensive career progression opportunities Support in pursuing chartership, and payment of subscription to Professional Institution Life Assurance Scheme Cycle-to-Work Scheme Responsibilities for the role of Senior Drainage Engineer include: Produce drainage and highways designs, in relation to the relevant Section Agreements (namely, S104, S38, and S278) Prepare technical assessments and other documents for new developments Check and amend technical drawings and reports for submission Support colleagues and clients to understand technical concepts Prepare and supervise presentations for internal and external stakeholders Manage projects, ensuring work is undertaken within budget and timeframes, to the highest of standards Liaise closely with clients and Project Managers regarding project delivery Ensure industry standards and regulations are always complied with Required skills and experience for the role of Senior Drainage Engineer include: A Degree (or equivalent/higher qualification) in Civil Engineering or Civil and Structural Engineering (or a similar, relevant field) Extensive experience of working in an infrastructure design-based role, within a UK consultancy Demonstrable experience of preparing designs (particularly in relation to the relevant Section Agreements, including S38, S278, S104) Excellent working knowledge of the relevant software packages, including MicroDrainage, and/or Causeway Flow Experience of producing Flood Risk Assessments and designing drainage strategies Competent in your knowledge of relevant design standards, including Sewers for Adoption, DMRB, national planning policy, etc. Good working knowledge of AutoCAD and Civils 3D Good understanding of the Microsoft Office suite of applications (to include Word, Excel, etc.) Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills A full, valid UK driving licence Desirable skills and experience for the role of Senior Drainage Engineer include: Outstanding literacy and numeracy skills Prior experience of managing stakeholders If you are interested in the role of Senior Drainage Engineer, please do not hesitate to contact Caroline Davis at Penguin Recruitment.
