What's involved with this role: JOB TITLE: Transformation and Change Project Manager REF: Bradford 5272302 Pay rate: £546.00 per day PAYE Working Arrangement: TBC The role: On behalf of a local council, we are seeking a Transformation and Change Project Manager to provide transformation, change and PMO expertise (portfolio, project and programme management) and support that enables the department to meet and exceed agreed service levels and deliver excellent customer service. You will work closely with the Head of Transformation and Programme Managers to ensure effective governance, coordination, consistency, and control across the transformation portfolio and to ensure activity remains aligned to the Council’s priorities. In this role you will also provide management responsibility for the Portfolio Management Office (PMO) team and any staff assigned to the post holder. You will also work with corporate support services and other departments to support the management of transformation across the Council and maintain the overall integrity and coherence of the programme. Work with corporate support services and other departments to support the management of transformation across the Council and maintain the overall integrity and coherence of the programme. Manage and lead the Portfolio Management Office (PMO) Team and be part of the Transformation and Change service management team. Directly responsible to the Head of Transformation. Provide financial oversight, monitoring and support to the programme and team budget. Provide administration and contract management of the Portfolio/Programme/Project Management System(s) in accordance with Council policies. What the client is looking for: Experience of working at a senior level in a Transformation and Change environment, ideally within local government or a large public sector organisation Experience in the management of staff and the transformation or a function NQF Level 5 – Bachelors Degree or equivalent level or professional qualification in the relevant Sector. A formal transformation or change management qualification e.g. P3O, PRINCE 2, MSP or significant portfolio, programme and project management experience. Knowledge of the ITIL framework and the ability to work within it.
