Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Nursery Practitioner to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a genuine love for working with children. This role involves creating a nurturing and stimulating environment that promotes the development and well-being of young children. The Nursery Practitioner will be responsible for planning and implementing educational activities, ensuring the safety of all children, and fostering positive relationships with both children and their families.
Responsibilities
* Provide high-quality care and education to children in the nursery setting
* Develop and implement engaging learning activities that cater to the individual needs of each child
* Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for children, staff, and parents
* Observe and assess children's progress, documenting their development in accordance with early years frameworks
* Communicate effectively with parents and caregivers regarding children's progress and any concerns
* Work collaboratively with other staff members to ensure a cohesive approach to childcare
* Uphold safeguarding policies and procedures to ensure the safety of all children in your care
* Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities
Experience
* Proven experience working with children in a nursery or childcare setting is essential
* A background in early childhood education or relevant qualifications is highly desirable
* Strong management and leadership skills to guide junior staff members effectively
* Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal
* Ability to establish positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues
* Driving licence is preferred to facilitate travel between locations if necessary
