About the role Salary: Up to £24,000. Please note from 1st April 2026, the salary range for this role will be £26,500 Contract type: This position is a Fixed Term contract for an Industrial Placement (typically 12 months). Proposed Start Date : July 2026 Working pattern/flexible working: The Partnership has adopted a hybrid working approach, meaning you'll be able to work a mixture between the office and home based upon your personal needs whilst balancing the needs of the business. The team are expected to go to the office once a week. Location: Bracknell Key responsibilities In the Industrial Placement - Online Trading role you will have a variety of accountabilities, these will include: Working with the Trade Planning teams to support the Waitrose Trading Plan and helping shape its locations and messaging on site Working with the Trade Performance teams to help measure and forecast the online channel performance Assist the Retail Media Team in discussions with suppliers about online placements Helping the Operations Team monitor the effectiveness of our internal processes and help develop better strategies and ways of working Investigate how AI can help improve our efficiencies and better support new trading processes Work with the Digital Development teams to help improve the Waitrose.com website by identifying areas of commercial opportunity and help bring them to fruition Engage and educate relevant stakeholders across the Waitrose digital structure Essential skills/experience you’ll need A passion for change and finding better ways of doing things, and an endless curiosity!
