Job Description:
Our customer, a global professional services company, is looking for an Investigations Lead to conduct and oversee corporate compliance investigations arising out of alleged misconduct raised through the client's various reporting channels. This is a 7-8 months' contract role.
Responsibilities include:
* Work with senior company leadership to assess and address significant legal risks associated with investigations.
* Manage teams of investigative personnel to address reported allegations.
* Manage notification, recording, and reporting processes related to investigations.
Oversee internal and external resources to conduct investigations into significant and complex allegations of misconduct related to financial and regulatory matters, including:
* defining scope,
* notifying appropriate personnel,
* conducting interviews,
* compiling investigation reports,
* recommending and implementing remedial measures.
Exercise oversight and management of the investigation team to:
* ensure effective and timely review, assignment, and investigation of matters in consultation with the Director of Corporate Investigations,
* develop processes for identifying and reporting trends, and provide updates on investigation data,
* make strategic decisions impacting the Corporate Investigations group,
* execute global strategy set by the Global Director of Corporate Investigations,
* work with legal teams regarding risk and remedial measures,
* liaise with Compliance Program leads,
* coordinate with law enforcement and regulatory agencies,
* oversee and support investigative personnel,
* stay informed on legal developments affecting investigations and compliance standards.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 7 years’ experience conducting and supervising investigations, including:
* Code of Business Ethics/financial fraud investigations,
* regulatory and governmental investigations,
* drafting confidential legal reports and advising leadership on compliance risks,
* litigation experience.
