PROCUREMENT – LOGISTICS CATEGORY MANAGER – ICONIC FTSE 100 FMCG MAJOR – LONDON - £70,000-£80,000 + PACKAGE (BONUS + CAR + SHARES)
This iconic FTSE 100 FMCG major has been providing the world with much-loved brands for over 100 years. With a multi-billion-pound spending power, procurement is now more important than ever.
As a result, the Board is investing to become a best-practice, multi-award-winning global sourcing hub. The firm is seeking a passionate Logistics Procurement specialist to drive bottom-line savings and wider commercial value from complex deals.
As Logistics Sourcing Manager, you will enjoy:
1. Using your logistics procurement expertise to execute seamless, integrated strategic sourcing processes.
2. Executing global, international, and national category plans via tools embedded in strategic sourcing methodology, collaborating with internal business partners.
3. Working with regional, international, and cross-functional multicultural teams to implement sourcing strategies.
4. Managing end-to-end procurement processes for large-scale, high-value EMEA logistics sub-categories (oceanic, road, rail, air freight, transportation, warehousing) with full autonomy.
5. Utilizing Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) skills to manage leading 3PL and 4PL suppliers/vendors.
6. Seeking opportunities to foster creativity and innovation within each logistics sourcing project.
7. Building and maintaining stakeholder relationships to support sourcing and category management initiatives.
8. Receiving one-on-one procurement training from the EMEA Logistics Procurement Director, with potential promotion to Logistics Sourcing Lead within 1-2 years.
Required procurement experience, skills & qualifications:
1. At least 2 years of logistics procurement, strategic sourcing, and category management experience within a recognized FTSE 250 or Fortune 500 company.
2. Experience in global sourcing and low-cost country sourcing preferred.
3. Experience in multi-country negotiations and contracts.
4. Strong stakeholder influencing and relationship management skills.
5. Degree, MCIPS, and Prince 2 qualifications are preferred but not essential.
