Info about what the Maintenance Engineer role entails
**DAY SHIFT** (not weekend or evening work)
Mon to Thurs 8am to 4:30pm
Fri 8am to 3pm
Key Responsibilities:
Electrical and mechanical maintenance, fault-finding, and repair of plant and machinery
Diagnosing issues on PLC controlled systems, hydraulics, and pneumatics
Planned preventative maintenance and breakdown response
Installing and upgrading machinery and equipment
Supporting site facilities and working with external contractors
Contributing to continuous improvement and site development projects
Essential Requirements of the Maintenance Engineer
NVQ / City & Guilds or equivalent qualification
Either Time Served apprenticeship or equivalent experience
Strong electrical and mechanical experience in a manufacturing environment
PLC fault-finding experience (ie Omron, Rockwell, or Mitsubishi ideal)
Positive, problem-solving mindset with flexibility to support breakdowns and planned works
