Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Dispenser to join our team, working 40 hours per week on a rota basis. The successful candidate will have the ability to work some weekends and later nights, between 8am and 10pm.
The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the accurate dispensing of medications and providing exceptional patient care. This position requires a flexible and motivated individual, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
* Accurately dispense medications as per prescriptions, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
* Provide patient care by answering queries regarding medications, dosages, and administration methods.
* Assist in medication administration under the supervision of a qualified pharmacist.
* Maintain accurate records of prescriptions and medication dispensed, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with data protection regulations.
* Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimise patient outcomes and address any medication-related issues.
* Ensure the pharmacy is well-stocked with medications and supplies, performing inventory checks as required.
* Uphold high standards of cleanliness and organisation within the pharmacy environment.
Requirements
* Previous experience as a Pharmacy Dispenser is highly desirable.
* Knowledge of medication administration practices and patient care principles advantageous.
* Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
* Ability to communicate effectively with patients and healthcare professionals, demonstrating empathy and professionalism.
* A commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to ethical standards in pharmacy practice.
