About the Role As aPerinatal Nursery Nurse, you’ll bring a strong foundation in child development and attachment theory to inform assessments and deliver tailored interventions. You’ll work confidently and independently across a range of community settings, including: • Home visits • Children’s centres • Local community hubs You’ll also support individuals transitioning from acute mental health care or Mother and Baby Units, helping them reintegrate and thrive in their home environments. As a Perinatal Nursery Nurse, you will: • Work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team (MDT) to assess, plan, and deliver high-quality care within the perinatal mental health setting. • Maintain accurate, timely healthcare records in accordance with professional standards and service protocols. • Provide compassionate, evidence-based interventions tailored to the unique needs of women/birthing people, their infants, and wider families. • Support recovery and wellbeing across diverse community environments, including home visits, children’s centres, and local hubs. • Collaborate closely with professionals across Early Attachment services, IAPT, maternity services, health visiting, and children's services to ensure integrated, holistic care.
