Role: Conveyancing AssistantLocation: Rotherham, South YorkshireSalary: £22,500 - £24,000Contract: Full time, permanentThe Opportunity A well-established legal practice is seeking a Conveyancing Assistant to join its residential property team. This role is ideal for someone in the early stages of their conveyancing career who is looking to build hands-on experience in a supportive and structured environment. You will work closely with fee earners and other support staff, assisting with the smooth progression of residential property transactions from instruction through to completion. Key Responsibilities Providing day-to-day support to conveyancers on a caseload of residential property mattersAssisting with sales, purchases, remortgages, and transfers of equityPreparing draft documentation and correspondenceOpening and maintaining files, both electronically and in hard copyCarrying out searches and dealing with search resultsLiaising with clients, estate agents, lenders, and other solicitorsManaging incoming and outgoing correspondence, emails, and telephone enquiriesUpdating case management systems and ensuring files are kept accurate and up to dateSupporting the team to meet deadlines and progress matters efficiently Skills and Experience Essential: Around 1-2 years' experience in a conveyancing or property law support roleBasic understanding of the residential conveyancing processGood organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasksStrong attention to detailConfident and professional communication skillsComfortable using case management systems and Microsoft Office Desirable: Experience dealing directly with clientsFamiliarity with Land Registry processesInterest in developing a longer-term career in conveyancing or property law Personal Attributes Willingness to learn and develop new skillsProactive and reliable team playerAble to work well under supervision while building confidence and independencePositive, approachable, and professional attitude Additional Information: CRA Legal follow strict best practice recruitment guidelines monitored by the Recruitment and Employment Confederation (REC).
