Overview: Activ Adventures is a highly regarded, friendly and lively company running Duke of Edinburgh (DofE) expeditions and outdoor educational programmes for schools. Our small dedicated team is passionate about providing the highest quality outdoor experiences for young people. We are looking for a highly motivated and committed team player who will enjoy a busy and varied role to join our team.
Job purpose: To support the organisation and delivery of DofE expeditions with a focus on logistics of kit and equipment. The role will include a combination of time working in the office and in the equipment store, assisting with in-school training sessions and kit drops. The role will suit someone with prior knowledge of outdoor events and expedition equipment.
Equipment and Logistics
* Set up of equipment and resources ready for use on expedition
* Checking in, drying and cleaning of tents, trangias and other used equipment post expedition
* Flagging maintenance issues with equipment to the Kit & Equipment Manager
* Assist in keeping an inventory of all equipment
* Assist with the logistics of group equipment including pre expedition kit drops and route planning sessions
* Assist the Kit & Equipment Manager and Expedition Manager in such other duties that may be reasonably required from time to time

Contract: Starting as soon as possible (exact dates to be agreed in interview) - Friday 25th September. Exact dates can be adjusted for the right candidate.
Work hours: Two days per week for the contract duration increasing to three days per week from 13th April to 31st July. Based on 8 hour days between the hours of Days of the week can be flexible Monday-Thursday and can be supplemented with work on our expeditions throughout the season. Salary: £30,000 pro rata.
Location: Equipment store at Polyapes Scout Campsite, Cobham and office at Trident Court, Tolworth.
Commencement: Subject to telephone interview, face to face interview, two suitable references and contract returned with associated annexes signed.
Training: Induction and training on the job.
