Job Title: Doggy Daycare Assistant – Nancy's Doggy Daycare
Location: Leatherhead, Surrey
Salary: £25,000 per annum (starting)
Employment Type: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week, 8am - 4.30pm Mon - Fri
About Us: Nancy's Doggy Daycare is a small, friendly, professional, and deeply caring service for dogs of all breeds and sizes. We pride ourselves on providing a safe, stimulating, and loving environment for our canine clients, ensuring they get the exercise, attention, and socialisation they need while their owners are away. We hold a 5 star licence with Mole Valley Council and we deliver exceptional customer service and unparalleled dog care.
We look after up to 35 dogs per day at our secure 2-acre site. The dogs are all off-lead and we are out and about 80% of the time so we are looking for a candidate who is happy to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
Role Overview:We are looking for a reliable, energetic, and compassionate Dog Care Assistant to join our team. You will be responsible for the daily care and wellbeing of the dogs, assisting with exercise, playtime, feeding, cleaning, and ensuring every dog has a positive daycare experience.
Key Responsibilities:
* Supervise and engage with dogs during playtime, both indoors and outdoors
* Feed, water, and monitor dogs' health and behaviour
* Maintain a clean, safe, and organised daycare environment
* Assist with drop-off and pick-up of dogs in vans provided by Nancy's Doggy Daycare
* Provide basic grooming and hygiene care when required
* Communicate with owners and colleagues in a friendly, professional manner
Requirements:
* Full UK Driving Licence (essential)
* Comfortable driving with dogs in the vehicle
* Previous experience working with animals (preferred, but training provided)
* Physically fit and able to handle dogs of all sizes and in all weather conditions
* Patient, caring, and confident in managing dog behaviour
* Good communication and teamwork skills
* Reliable and punctual
* Must live locally to Wimbledon, Colliers Wood, Raynes Park or Morden.
