Job Description Job Title: Service Charge Accountant (Residential) Job Type: Full Time - Monday to Friday 9.00am to 5.30pm Salary : £30,000.00 - £38,000.00 subject to experience. We are looking for an experienced Service Charge Accountant to join our growing Accounts Department. The ideal candidate needs to have excellent attention to detail and have a positive attitude towards work. Experience and understanding service charge accounts is a prerequisite. For the right candidate there is scope for ongoing professional development, training and qualifications. Immediate start contract term for 14 month contract to cover maternity leave with possibility for long term retention. Requisites : Understanding Service Charge Accounts and work-based experience within the property management industry for at least 2-4 years Excellent organisation skills Good understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices Excellent knowledge of MS Office, particularly Excel, and familiarity with other computer and accounting software is desirable. Training will be provided on current accounts software AAT qualified or part qualified mandatory ACCA qualified - not essential A team player and ability to work on own initiative The initial responsibilities will include: Assisting with monthly Bank Reconciliations of individual service charge accounts Assisting with preparing Service Charge Year End Accounts for review and approval by external qualified Accountants Issuing Service Charge Year End Accounts once signed off by external qualified Accountants Assist with answering enquiries which are service charge accounts based as and when necessary Update financial and non-financial data and information in databases to ensure that details are accurate and up to date
