M1–M6: £37,870 – £50,474 (pro rata for part-time)
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Nursery Teacher to join our welcoming and inclusive 2 Form Entry Primary School in Burnt Oak, Barnet (HA8). This is an exciting opportunity for a committed Early Years professional to become part of a supportive team with an immediate start available.
The Role
You will lead a Nursery class within our Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), creating a safe, engaging, and stimulating learning environment where every child can thrive.
Part-time applicants (minimum 3 days per week) are warmly welcomed, and full-time applications will also be considered.
Key Responsibilities
* Plan and deliver high-quality teaching and learning in line with the EYFS Framework
* Create a nurturing, inclusive, and well-structured classroom environment
* Observe, assess, and track pupil progress, maintaining accurate records
* Use formative and summative assessment to inform planning and next steps
* Work collaboratively with the parallel class teacher and wider Early Years team
* Build positive relationships with parents and carers, providing regular feedback on progress
* Support children’s personal, social, and emotional development
* Contribute to wider school life, including staff meetings, training, and school events
* Ensure safeguarding and health and safety procedures are always followed
Requirements
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS or EYTS)
* Proven experience teaching within EYFS (essential)
* Strong understanding of child development and early learning pedagogy
* Ability to differentiate effectively to meet a range of needs
* Excellent classroom management and organisational skills
* Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one
* A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
