MCS Group are delighted to be partnering with this local government organisation in their search for an Accountant (Part time - 18.5 hours per week).
The role:
* Financial management: Preparing timely financial reports.
* Budget oversight: Assist in the development and monitoring of annual budgets.
* Capital Accounting: Oversee capital expenditure.
* Treasury management: Manage cash flow, liquidity and investments.
* Accounts Payable and Receivable: Oversight of AP/ AR processes.
* Compliance and Audit: Ensure adherence to financial regulations, accounting standards and internal controls.
* Policy Development: Contribute to the development and implementation of financial policies.
The Person
As the successful candidate you will have the following background and experience:
Essential
* Hold a recognised accountancy qualification and be a member of a recognised, professional accountancy body.
* Experience in financial management, accounting or auditing.
* Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems.
