Ward Manager -Children's Assessment Unit/Children's Development Centre

We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated Band 7 Children's Nurse, who is able to support and lead staff to ensure high quality care is delivered to all children and families attending the department.
The role carries continuing responsibility for the management of the Children's Assessment Unit and Childrens Outpatient Clinic in conjunction with the Band 7 leads and the Matron for Child Health. This role includes clinical and managerial duties where you are a role model for all staff to achieve excellence in patient quality and safety.
This is a permanent position for a Registered Childrens Nurse who has a minimum of 18 months at Band 6 experience in Children's Nursing.

Main duties of the job
You will be expected to provide clinical and professional advice and leadership.
We are keen to hear from individuals who have experience at working at a Senior Nurse level and are keen to embrace change and provide visible nursing leadership.
Applicants should have a broad range of nursing experience at Band 6/7 level and must have current NMC registration.

Education, Qualifications and Training
* oRegistered Nurse (Level 1) oWilling to undergo training as necessary
* oQualification in speciality paediatric
* oRecognised teaching/assessing qualification.

* At least 18 months recent experience at management level or equivalent within a paediatrics environment
