Pro-Group are recruiting on behalf of a leading specialist in fire protection systems, who are seeking an experienced Fire Sprinkler Design Engineer to join their team in Willenhall. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced and motivated engineer looking to take ownership of complex design projects while mentoring junior team members and playing a key role in delivering industry-leading fire protection solutions. The Role As a Sprinkler Design Engineer, you’ll be responsible for creating and delivering high-quality fire sprinkler system designs that meet both client and regulatory standards. You’ll work closely with project teams, manage your own workload with minimal supervision, and ensure all designs are completed accurately and on time. Key Responsibilities: * Design automatic fire sprinkler systems, including pumps, tanks, and wet, dry, pre-action, and deluge systems. * Perform hydraulic calculations (Canute or manual). * Coordinate layouts with other building services and structural elements. * Attend on-site and online design coordination meetings. * Conduct site surveys to ensure design compatibility. * Prepare and submit 2D drawings for approval, construction, and as-built documentation. * Ensure compliance with company design and BIM standards. * Mentor and support Trainee Designers. * Assist site teams with design-related installation challenges. * Support preparation of RFIs and project documentation. Requirements: * A solid understanding of fire sprinkler standards and codes (LPCB, NFPA, BSEN 9990, 9251, 12845). * At least 5 years’ experience in the Fire Suppression industry. * Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and Canute (FHC). * Strong organisational and communication skills. * Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities. * LPCB Basic, Intermediate, or FHC certification (preferred). * A valid UK driving licence.
