Join the Digital Services Desk Team at Bedfordshire Hospitals NHS Trust, based at Bedford Borough Hall, as a Band 4 Service Technician and play a vital role in keeping the NHS connected. In this frontline IT support role, you’ll be the first point of contact for staff across the Trust, helping resolve technical issues, guiding users through digital systems, and contributing to impactful technology projects. Responsibilities
* Act as the first point of contact for IT issues and service requests, providing timely, professional support to staff across the Trust.
* Diagnose and resolve problems with hardware, software, printers, mobile devices, and Microsoft 365 applications.
* Log, track and update service requests and incidents, working to agreed service levels.
* Provide clear advice and guidance to colleagues, explaining technical issues in simple terms.
* Assist with the installation, configuration, and maintenance of IT equipment and applications.
* Support project work, including hardware deployments, system upgrades, and digital initiatives.
* Maintain accurate records of IT assets and ensure equipment is managed effectively.
* Contribute to the delivery of a high-quality digital service that underpins safe and effective patient care.
