As a Security Officer, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of the site by managing barrier control and overseeing the booking in and out of deliveries. You'll also be responsible for security-checking Goods Out vehicles, ensuring compliance with safety and security standards at all times.
Your role will include regular internal and external patrols, conducting colleague and vehicle/car searches, and upholding a secure workplace for everyone involved in Logistics and Distribution. Job Overview
* Site Security:
Deliver an efficient loss prevention service, ensuring a safe and compliant environment for colleagues while adhering to government regulations.
* Bookings:
Oversee booking in/out processes, assist the Goods-In team with queries, and perform random vehicle searches upon exit.
* Monitoring:
Monitor and analyse CCTV footage alongside incident reports to investigate thefts, accidents, and other events, escalating incidents as needed.
* Visitor Management:
Facilitate third-party access to CCTV footage during out-of-hours requests in the absence of the Team Leader.
* Reporting:
Record and report data on damage, complete bay checks, log potential stock theft, and oversee pallet and recycling collections.
* Site Patrols:
Conduct daily fire door seal checks, internal and external patrols, and act as Yard Safety Marshal during busy periods to maintain clear access.
* Site Direction:
Escort visitors on-site, direct emergency vehicles, and support colleague and vehicle searches within the distribution centre.
Minimum Criteria To Apply
* Experience of a working as a Security Officer is desirable.
* Familiarity with Distribution Centre Functions is preferable.
* Awareness of working in an open plan environment.
* Ability to work using confidentiality and discretion at all times.
