In your role as a Care Assistant at HC-One, you'll value kindness above all. It touches upon every aspect of our Dementia, Nursing, Residential and Specialist care homes. Every single person who works here understands that our residents are people just like them with their own stories to tell. By joining HC-One you'll have a wonderful opportunity to give something back to those people.
Please note this is a full-time position of 33 hours per week working day shifts. We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed Care Assistant to join the team at our care home. Responsibilities include providing long or short-term, convalescence, respite or palliative care, always focusing on delivering the highest quality service.
As a Care Assistant under the guidance of a Registered Nurse, you will take responsibility for the physical, emotional, and social needs of our residents. Your duties include assisting residents with personal care activities such as washing, personal hygiene, dressing, and helping with meals. You will deliver care that truly comes from the heart, ensuring residents maintain their dignity and individuality. This includes helping those with limited mobility, offering emotional support, or caring for residents at the end of their lives.
Safeguarding is everyone's responsibility. It is important that you can recognize signs of abuse, harm, or neglect, and know how to act if concerns arise. All colleagues are required to attend safeguarding training appropriate to their role and undertake additional training as needed. You should be able to seek advice and report concerns, escalating issues when necessary.
