Responsibilities
* Support the Head Chef in the day-to-day management of the kitchen operation
* Lead and inspire the kitchen team to deliver exceptional food and service standards
* Ensure consistent food quality, presentation, and portion control
* Assist with menu development and seasonal dish creation
* Manage stock control, ordering, and food cost targets
* Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and COSHH regulations
* Support recruitment, training, and development of junior chefs
* Maintain a positive and professional kitchen culture
Qualifications
* Previous experience as a Sous Chef or Senior Sous Chef within a quality hospitality environment
* Strong leadership and team development skills
* Passion for fresh, seasonal ingredients and high-quality food
* Excellent organisational and communication skills
* Strong understanding of food safety and kitchen compliance
* Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced environment
