Vickerstock are working in partnership with a specialist firm based in Ballymena on the appointment of a Buyer
In your new role:
1. Work closely with all other departments to ensure all materials are on site on time
2. Sourcing new supplier with a strong focus on cost saving
3. Build relationships with key suppliers negotiating contracts, price, lead time and terms of business
4. Minimise stock holding and ensure timely controlled delivery of goods and services to departments across the business
5. Continually monitor supplier performance, running analysis reports and reporting to head of department
What you will need to succeed:
6. A minimum of 2 years experience working in a fast paced purchasing department
7. Strong IT skills and a good working knowledge of all Microsoft Office packages
