How the role will make an impact:
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Procurement Manager to lead our sourcing and procurement efforts within the Hardware function, with a special focus on finished goods. This role is responsible for managing the end-to-end procurement process of hardware products. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in supply chain management, supplier negotiation and cost optimisation, with a focus on quality and sustainability.
Main Tasks & Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with business objectives.
* Source, evaluate and manage suppliers and vendors to ensure high-quality products and materials at competitive prices.
* Negotiate contracts, terms and pricing with suppliers while maintaining compliance and risk management standards.
* Work closely with engineering, R&D and production teams to understand technical requirements and ensure supplier capabilities.
* Monitor market trends, material availability and geopolitical risks.
* Establish KPIs and performance metrics for procurement activities and suppliers.
* Optimize procurement processes through automation, ERP systems and best practices.
* Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, environmental standards and company policies.
* Travel requires supporting another site in Carlisle.
Key Skills:
* Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business administration, engineering or a related field.
* Proven experience of procurement in the manufacturing industry preferably in the security product's environment.
* Desirable to have strong knowledge of sourcing mechanical and electronic hardware products from the far-east.
* Proven negotiation and contract management skills.
* Excellent analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills.
* Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
