What the Job Involves As a Social Worker in the Children and Family Services team, you will undertake assessments and provide social work services arising from statutory duties. You will participate in duty teams, handle contacts and referrals, and undertake Section 47 enquiries and child and family assessments. Your role will involve managing, implementing, and reviewing care plans while ensuring timely progression of cases to protect vulnerable children. You will also prepare necessary legal documents for court proceedings and represent the Local Authority in Court. Collaboration with various professionals and adherence to Council policies, including health and safety and equality commitment, will be part of your responsibilities.
