Interaction Recruitment are proud to be working in partnership with a well-established automotive business in Peterborough to recruit an experienced and customer-focused Service Advisor.
This is an excellent opportunity for a professional individual who enjoys delivering exceptional customer service, managing vehicle service bookings, and acting as the key link between customers and the workshop team.
The Role
As a Service Advisor, you will be the first point of contact for customers, ensuring a smooth and professional experience from booking through to vehicle collection. You will work closely with technicians and workshop controllers to keep customers informed, manage expectations, and ensure work is completed efficiently.
The successful candidate will be organised, proactive, and confident communicating with customers in a fast-paced automotive environment.
Key Responsibilities
1. Welcoming customers and managing service and repair enquiries
2. Booking vehicles into the workshop for servicing, maintenance, and repairs
3. Liaising between customers and technicians regarding vehicle requirements
4. Providing service updates and communicating any additional work required
5. Preparing estimates, quotations, and invoices
6. Managing customer expectations and ensuring a high standard of service throughout
7. Processing job cards and maintaining accurate records on internal systems
8. Coordinating vehicle collections and handovers
9. Handling customer queries and resolving issues professionally
10. Supporting the wider aftersales team to achieve departmental targets
Skills & Experience Required
11. Previous experience as a Service Advisor or within an automotive customer service role
12. Strong customer service and relationship-building skills
13. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
14. Good organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks
15. Experience using dealer management systems (DMS) is advantageous
16. Confident working in a busy and target-driven environment
17. Strong administrative and IT skills
18. Full UK Driving Licence preferred
