Job summary Akari Care is seeking a passionate and skilled Maintenance Operative to join their award-winning home in West Denton. This hands-on role is crucial in ensuring the well-being and comfort of the elderly residents, as you will be responsible for maintaining high standards of maintenance, repairs, and upkeep throughout the facility. Main duties of the job As a Maintenance Operative, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including internal decoration, grounds maintenance and safety, building repairs, supplies, and utilities management. You will work closely with the home manager and the wider maintenance team to ensure the smooth operation of the home. Your technical knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, as well as plumbing and joinery, will be essential in providing timely and efficient solutions to any issues that arise. Additionally, you will be required to have a warm, approachable, and engaging persona, as you will interact with both residents and colleagues, treating everyone with respect and compassion.
