Interim senior quality control analyst

The Opportunity:

Avantor is looking for an interim Senior Quality Control Analyst on a 6-month fixed-term contract to support the QC Team leader with leading the team by troubleshooting, assisting Juniors with issues, and offering solutions. The successful Senior QC Analyst will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of the quality control function, including routine product quality checks of HPLC columns and a range of in-house manufactured separation media, and ensuring that all finished products are tested to meet the required specifications.

This role will be a full-time position based out of our Hichrom, Theale/Reading UK site. The working hours will be:

Monday - Friday from 9 AM - 5 PM

The team

Avantor's Quality Control team covers quality checks for our own manufactured columns, used for HPLC testing. The team consists of 5 QC professionals, reporting to the QC Team leader.

What we're looking for
Language: Fluent verbal and written communication in English is essential
Education: A Bachelor of Science is highly desirable, preferably in analytical chemistry.
Experience: Solid experience in analytical chemistry is required, along with strong leadership skills.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience working in a laboratory operating to an ISO9001 quality management system or equivalent.
