About Orchard Court Care Home
Orchard Court is located near the centre of Brigg. The home is set around a former coaching inn which has been selectively extended in keeping with its character, providing a homely atmosphere whilst still offering modern living accommodation. The home provides personal care, including dementia care, for 39 residents.
Role Responsibilities
* Provide the highest possible levels of care in supporting and assisting residents in all aspects of daily living.
* Promote residents' independence with a focus on choice, dignity and respect, while enhancing their physical and emotional wellbeing and contributing during shift handovers.
* Lead the shift to maintain high standards, supporting other team members.
* Complete daily medication rounds and document consistently, ensuring charts are completed to a high standard and that any issues are noted for medication audits.
* Promote good practice in all aspects of care, challenge poor practice, ensure one‑to‑ones for all care and support team members are held every two months, and investigate complaints and concerns as directed by the Home Manager.
Role Requirements
* Relevant professional qualification (e.g., Registered Nurse or NVQ minimum level 3).
* Minimum of two years' experience as a Care Assistant in a residential or nursing home setting.
* Awareness of the principles of person‑centred care planning.
* Understanding of the prevention of abuse of vulnerable adults, recognising signs of abuse and procedures to follow with an allegation.
* Residency within 30 minutes of the home.
* Ability to work under pressure.
* Leadership and people skills.
* A caring and nurturing attitude.
* Positive and enthusiastic outlook.
* Time management skills.
* Written and oral communication skills.
