What you’ll be doing
as a Network Protection Investigator:
1. By working with customers, you will actively be part of reducing blockages, sewage floodings and pollution; protecting our network, customers, and the environment alike.
2. Within this role, you will be the sole worker for your area.
3. Working with customers to solve waste network issues following a proven process of engagement.
4. You will work closely with our customers to support and educate them in grease management and the correct disposal of waste.
5. You will visit and engage with customers daily on best kitchen practice to stop the misuse of drains and prevent further 'Fatbergs' from forming.
Base location: Mogden -TW7 7LW, you will be field-based covering postcode area SW1 - SW11 with access to your local TW site.
Working pattern or hours: 36 Hours per week (Mon – Fri) and some evening visits will be required; however, it is also a flexible role where working hours can be accommodated.

To thrive in this role, the essential criteria you’ll need are:
6. Experience of working with and managing diverse customer relationships.
7. Be a confident and persuasive communicator at all levels, both written and verbal.
8. Be a dedicated person who can work alone, effectively managing your own time to deliver results.
9. Be a team player who can work towards a team objective whilst managing your own workload remotely. This will involve being collaborative and supportive in your approach to work.
10. Ability to use an Android Smartphone and basic knowledge of MS Office, with training provided.
11. Due to the nature of the role, a clean driving license is essential as the post will work across several areas in the region.
Additional skills and experiences would be great to have/bring:
12. Desirable knowledge of the sewer network is desirable but not essential, as training will be provided.
