Control System Engineer
Location: Stockport.
Salary: Up to £60K DOE
Site Work: Up to £100 per day
Contract: Full time, 40 hours per week, permanent.
Our client has a leading role today as manufacturers of a unique range of pressurised manifold depositing systems for light, aerated and delicate masses, as well as bespoke processing lines for the chilled foods sector such as cream doughnut and chocolate éclair lines, injection systems for choux buns and cream slice lines.
They are now recruiting a Control System Engineer to join our growing team.
Role & Responsibilities summary:
The Controls engineering team are responsible for all existing machine designs & changes and are looking for another control system engineer to strengthen the team.
Proficient in Rockwell RSLogix5000(or similar software), PLC, HMI and Motion control. The ideal candidate will also be capable of Electrical Design with EPlan and AutoCAD. Full Electrical Control Panel Assembly including, backplate layout and drilling, cutting trunking, cable labelling and wiring / testing. Additional skills can be gained with in-house training.
The position will involve worldwide travel of up to 2 weeks at a time to support the installation of new machine designs on site.
This position will suit somebody making the next move on their career ladder and further career progression.
Graduates would be considered.
Good understanding of Machine Safety and working to a range of Standards.
This is not a remote position, office based.
We are looking for candidates within approx. 30 mins travel time from the Poynton area.
We are looking for someone to invest their time and efforts, grow with the company as we increase our reach worldwide in the confectionary industry whilst breaking into new territory, bringing robotics to our current customer base, with a view to expand Robotics into industries such as palletizing. We have some of the major Robotics suppliers aligning themselves to push the Robotics side of the business. There are some exciting developments on the headline, and we are looking for someone to commit to growing with the company.
Holidays – 23 per annum (3 days reserved for Xmas Shut down)
Pension – 5% EE, 3% ER
Sick Pay – two weeks half pay in tandem with SSP, in any rolling 123-month period. Site Pay - £65 p/day up to £100 p/day.
Xmas bonus - £250 net pay.

PLC Programming - Rockwell Preferred
Motion Control HMI Design Software Design Electrical Design
HND/Experience - Beneficial
Food Industry Experience – Beneficial
