Management Accountant – Maternity Cover (12–15 Month FTC)
Location: Braintree/Hybrid
Start Date: April/May 2026
Hours: Full-time
Salary: to £45000 Per Annum
Are you a detail-driven, part-qualified accounting professional looking for a role with real ownership, autonomy, and international exposure? My client is seeking a capable Management Accountant to take responsibility for a portfolio of international products, managing the full financial lifecycle with accuracy and independence.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage the end-to-end financial lifecycle for a portfolio of international products
* Validate payables and ensure accurate financial processing
* Prepare and post journals
* Support month-end close and produce management accounts
* Conduct detailed data analysis and uphold high accuracy standards
* Work confidently and independently while collaborating with the finance team
* Liaise internally to resolve queries and ensure accurate reporting
* Support European VAT processes (advantageous but not essential)
About You
They’re looking for someone who brings a strong blend of technical skills, independence, and exceptional attention to detail.
Essential
* At least part-qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA or equivalent)
* Strong independent working skills and confidence owning processes end-to-end
* Proven attention to detail and analytical capability
* Advanced Excel proficiency
* Experience posting journals and producing management accounts
* Prior experience with Sage 200
* Experience working with non-GBP functional currencies
Desirable
* European VAT experience
* Previous exposure to multi-entity or international portfolios
